7703 That’s the Number

Well the wait is over…I have done it. Run a 26.2 mile under 4hrs (3.59) that was my Chip Time. I would not trade this experience with anything in the whole world. it’s something that I remember for years to come. Big thanks to my wife Cindy, my friend Bill and everyone that supported me long the way.

Day 3 & 4 running report

I’m back with a vengeance…HOOOOHAAAHOOOHA

Day 3 nothing really special there, oh no! hold on, there is something very special about that day, I broke my own running record for 4 miles. I run the 4 miles under 36.38 min. All I remember is 3 min less then my recording time. Not bad..hem? Now the long run of 10 miles, I’m very happy with the time 1h:28 min. That’s 8.8 min a mile. Way faster then running inside the gym…go figure that one from me…will ya? But I think it has to do with the weather and the way the course is setup. Since we had some rain the night before that, the weather was cool and perfect for that morning run. Long the side of the beach, you could feel the energy of the almighty and wonder to your self I will be dead before I finish this 10 miles…hahah. BTW…the course is in Huntington Beach  city 20 min from my place. Short and sweet drive. it has a long stretch course that goes from Sunset Beach all the way to Laguna Beach. You could stretch it to San Clemente, but that will be a bit long of a stretch of you know what I mean?   I have not measured the whole coast line, but I think is more then 40 miles Sunset to Laguna. More then what I need to get my training done :o)  Overall that was a good run. Tonight I have a very short run of 3 miles. It should be quick and dirty and I will able to go inside the steaming room and relax a bit.

Los Angels Marathon Day 2

I told you before that I will posting here a lot, twice today already :0)…well, I have officially registered for LA Marathon on May 25th, 2009. I have already started training for it yesterday by running my first 4 miles @ 49.39 min. That’s 12.34 min a mile (6.43 KM). That’s really slow if you consider  running  a full marathon 26.2 mile (42.2 KM) at that speed. But this is only the start of a long journey to the finish line. You see, I have it all planned out and everyday I will post my schedule, time recorded for the run, my physical condition, nutrition, and more other things that I don’t know about and I will be learning taking on this odyssey.  Ok, today I have a 4 mile run same distance as yesterday only this time I will try to run it little faster. A 10.00 min a mile will be very good, but it’s almost impossible to shave of 2 min a mile in a matter of one day. But you know what they say, everything is possible. BTW…I have a friend from New York who’s running this marathon with me and he is a very experienced runner. Bill Cochran has run LA Marathon, NY Marathon, and qualified for the Boston Marathon twice. Those are only few races that I know of and I’m sure he run more then that. That’s my friend a guy that you want to have on your side and train with. Bill already sent me the full training schedule (I will post that one later). In short, at the end of this training schedule, I will have completed a run of  511 mile. That’s training only. If you add the actual race to it, that will be 537.2 (864.5 KM). That’s a lot of miles my friend. Ok…4 miles tonight under 11:00 min that’s good goal.

See ya later…

It’s about F*** time

It’s been more then year to get this post out there. Let’ just keep it short and sweet, I have been pretty busy with a lot of different projects including a trip to Morocco. I will tell you a lot more about that one later including some amazing pictures. I must confess, Morocco is the land of the free. I had so much fun over there that made it very hard to leave. For now, you should only know that I will be posting a lot here and I encourage everyone to leave comments and feedbacks.

Old Man's

http://www.sandiego.org/article_set/Visitors/5/27 One of the main differences between a long and short board, long board awards you with a true feeling of the power of the waves underneath your feet. That feeling does not have a price tag on it and only can be experienced surfing with a long board.
